As VP Business Transformation Office you will be responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of the Corporations Concept of Operations. Bridging organizational gaps and eliminating redundancies. Leading the complete reengineering and optimization of Sierra Space Business practices. Executing and managing a cutting edge Integrated Digital Environment, IDE. An environment that maximizes the use of native digital information, minimizing human interaction to maximize the desired business outcomes. Defining, implementing and managing an all new suite of advanced business metrics across the entire corporation. You will maintain a bench of talented Project Managers that will lead efforts required to work cross functionally to understand complex business needs, translate those business needs into solutions and proactively identify opportunities for enhancements and automation of existing systems and processes.
Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado with operations in Madison, Wisconsin and Durham, North Carolina, Kennedy Space Center in Florida designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers and international organizations.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Re-invent every process – eliminate waste
  • Rewrite all command media
  • Implement all new Operating Excellence Plan
  • Lead Cross Corporation Projects
  • Administer the Make Buy Process
  • Develop and implement and all new Integrated Digital Environmental
  • Transition and set up of National Security Space business from SNC
  • Develop and institute corporate wide metrics to track over all business outcomes
Must-haves:
  • Experience in deploying new ERP systems
  • Operations Excellence Development and Implementation experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related field of study
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of business system integrations and roadmap development
  • Working knowledge and experience with various technical matters in support of the exportability, technical determination and release of products and services
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies
  • Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiences
Preferred:
  • Typically 12-15 years of relevant experience
  • Previous management experience; ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
  • Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
  • Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $246,117.71 - $338,411.86
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
